Shortly after my grand-aunt passed away, a pigeon flew into her apartment. Not a single window was open, yet she made it into the flat. Was this pure coincidence or my grand-aunt who wanted to return to her old life ? In this project I am zooming into this very moment of the bird flying not only against, but through the glass. „The Sky Was Clear a Minute Ago“ consists of a set of eight different images where I am working with multilayered backgrounds and elements which repeat in different ways. By playing with repetition, I want to emphasize on the surreal nature of this situation.

Did it really happen or was ist just a dream?
